The Role

Overview

Supervises stainless steel production staff, schedules, and ensures quality and safety.

Tasks

-Review parts shortages with purchasing and adjust schedules as necessary. -Plan production schedules, review component parts, and sub-assembly availability against build schedule. -Ensure compliance with departmental housekeeping standards and all safety and work rules and regulations. -Maintain productive and collaborative relationships with other Watts employees. -Maintain departmental supplies, tools, equipment, and order as necessary. -Act as a technical resource to address and resolve inquiries and problems; analyze and resolve work problems, and assist workers in solving work problems. -Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements in methods and processes to increase productivity, quality, and safety. -Assist in the completion of production orders, as needed, to ensure production deadlines are met. -Prioritize and delegate work assignments and directly supervise the plant staff to ensure the achievement of production objectives at the lowest cost consistent with company quality requirements. -Ensure the completion of all required production paperwork, records, and documentation, such as timecards, quality records, etc. -Ensure the training of new and present employees in the processes and methods required to achieve the company’s standards for quality, quantity, and safety.

What You Bring

-Ability to wear personal protective equipment, which may include, but is not limited to, safety shoes, hearing protection, and safety glasses. -Ability to work independently as well as within a team setting -Ability to physically move around the manufacturing floor. -Strong leadership and managerial skills, independent thinking, strong organizational and planning abilities, and excellent analytical and problem-solving skills are essential. -Ability to stand for long periods of time. -Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds. -Must successfully establish employment eligibility and satisfactorily complete background checks, including drug screening, and required pre-employment testing as a condition of employment. -Punctuality and dependability. -Ability to be flexible and adapt to changing work priorities and stressful conditions. -Adherence to all personnel policies, procedures, and standards of process as implemented by Watts. -Ability to push and pull up to 50 pounds. -7+ years of supervisory/managerial experience in a production environment. -High school diploma and equivalent work experience. -Understanding of and adherence to applicable laws, codes, policies, regulations, and safety practices and procedures, as applicable. -Ability to read documents and communicate clearly with management and coworkers.
