Tasks

-Systems & Data: Maintain accurate lead times, purchase orders, and supplier data in procurement systems. -Process Improvement: Identify and implement improvements in procurement efficiency, including digital tools such as EDI or barcoding. -Phase I – Import Purchasing: Manage international supplier sourcing, import documentation, shipping, and customs compliance to ensure timely material availability for the new plant. -Plant Procurement Support: Ensure timely and cost-effective purchasing to support production, maintenance, and plant operations in Pune. -Negotiation: Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with suppliers to achieve cost savings and long-term value. -Compliance: Ensure all purchasing activities adhere to company policies, business controls, and applicable import/export regulations. -Supplier Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, ensuring performance in delivery, quality, and cost. -Cross-Functional Collaboration: Work with Engineering, Operations, and IPD Purchasing Specialists to align purchasing activities with production schedules and new product development requirements.

What You Bring

-Ability to work cross-functionally in a fast-paced, plant-based environment. -Experience with import purchasing, international logistics, and customs compliance. -5+ years of purchasing, supply chain, or related experience. -Background in manufacturing, operations, or engineering environments. -Bachelor’s degree. -Familiarity with purchasing policies, procedures, and business controls. -Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
