Tasks

-Manage project budgets, schedules, and resources for timely and cost-effective delivery. -Manage technical oversight in dam design, geotechnical investigations, slope stability, seepage analysis, structural integrity, quarries, aggregate production, and thermal cracking control. -Assist client to implement dam safety programs, emergency action plans, and regulatory compliance strategies. -Prepare technical reports, progress updates, and stakeholder presentations. -Manage technical oversight of RCC mix design and optimization, placement, compaction, and quality control, ensuring adherence to international standards and safety protocols. -Lead the delivery of dam projects from concept through commissioning, ensuring compliance with industry standards and client expectations. -Serve as the primary liaison with clients, regulators, and contractors to ensure project alignment and success. -Support construction teams with technical clarifications and site inspections. -Mentor and lead multidisciplinary teams to foster collaboration and technical excellence.

What You Bring

-Experience with hydroelectric power. -Spanish language proficiency (preferred but not required). -Experience coordinating with stakeholders and environmental agencies. -Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent international registration. -Minimum 15 years of experience in dam engineering and dam delivery management. -Experience with design-build contracts (FIDIC or NEC). -Experience in earthfill, rockfill, and roller compacted concrete (RCC) dam design and construction. -Willingness to commit to a minimum 2-year full-time in-country expatriate assignment in Central America. -Bachelor’s degree in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering disciplines. -Familiarity with international dam safety standards (ICOLD, FERC, USACE). -Master’s degree or PhD in Civil, Geotechnical, or related Engineering disciplines. -Demonstrated success in managing complex projects and leading multidisciplinary teams. -Delivered at least one project with capital value of 250M USD or more. -Strong leadership and communication skills. -Direct experience on at least one project involving RCC dams over 15 meters
