Tasks

-Completion of Flood Risk Assessments and Drainage Strategies to support planning applications. -Completion of Flood Risk Appraisals for our investor and pension fund clients assessing the risk from all sources of flooding and providing practical mitigation measures, recommendations and commercial advice. -Producing concept drainage plans in AutoCAD. -Completion of other water related projects for existing and emerging markets such as ESG. -Running with projects from inception to completion with support from your line manager and project lead to develop a wide range of technical, project management and commercial skills. -Producing accurate flood risk GIS maps in QGIS.

What You Bring

-Be self-motivated and able to work under pressure, as well as prioritise and meet deadlines. -Sound communication and personal effectiveness skills. -Experience of using GIS. -Experience of AutoCAD. -Bachelors degree in relevant subject such as Geography or Environmental Science, or demonstration of equivalent qualification or experience. -Graduate (or equivalent) member of a Professional Body. -Experience of environmental consultancy work is desirable, particularly in flood risk and drainage or similar water sectors. -Competent at using Microsoft Word and Excel. -Ability to learn new skills quickly. -Ability and willingness to learn from experience and take on greater responsibility.
