The Role

Overview

Industrial journeyman carpenter builds, repairs, and dismantles forms and structures.

Tasks

-Identify safety risks and the precautions required to eliminate those risks. -Build and construct wooden forms. -Measure, mark, and cut required wooden/metallic materials to required specifications. -Read blueprints and specification to determine the scope of work: locations, quantities, and sizes of materials required. -Identify all tools required for tasks. -Must follow all company and site rules and regulations. -Work on miscellaneous construction projects such as but not limited to building decks and steps, building bulletin boards, and building any additional wooden structures. -Clean up/housekeeping of work areas. -Construct, re-enforce and dismantle pre-constructed concrete forms.

What You Bring

-Experience working with concrete and rebar . -Must have all Knowledge Skills and Abilities for positions (see below). -Must be able to lift 50+ lbs -Must be able to read blueprints, sketches, or building plans. -Must be willing to assist other crafts and perform additional job duties while not performing primary craft duties. -Must have reliable transportation. -Must be able to work full work schedule and any additional overtime as needed. -Current Zachry or Zachry ROF’ed employee. -Formal/Technical education. -Must be able and willing to follow all safety rules and regulations. -Must be able to read blueprints, plans, and drawings proficiently to perform duties. -Former experience working with Zachry Industrial, Inc. -Must be able to compute basic arithmetic functions, measure, mark, and cut equipment and materials to specification. -Must be able to meet all physical requirements. -Must have knowledge of materials, tools, and processes involved with basic building techniques and form construction. -Must be able to work over 8 – 10 hours a day -Must have 3+ years working as a carpenter or civil journeyman in an industrial plant. -Must have Carpentry experience and experience working in an industrial plant. -National Center for Construction Education and Research’s (NCCER) certification for Industrial Journeyman Carpenter. -Must be willing to work safely and follow all safety rules and regulations.
