Aircraft Engine Mechanic

Overview

Inspect, maintain, and repair aircraft turbine engines, APUs, and related systems.

Tasks

-Operate ground support equipment -Perform work in a safe and timely manner -Inspect engines and/or APUs, components and associated aircraft systems and components in accordance with appropriate maintenance manuals with minimal supervision -Assist with off-aircraft component repair -Assist with installation, removal or modifications and repairs of turbine engines, APUs and airframe systems or components -Comply with environmental, health and safety policies and procedures. Participatein5-S activities. -Assist with performing complete engine runs -Assist with engine/APUs and related systems operational checks and functional tests -Perform and document work performed per appropriate manuals and regulations as required

What You Bring

-Basic PC skills -Ability to operate industrial vehicles and equipment (scissor/boom lift, forklift, etc.) -Background Check & DOT Drug Screen: This step involves conducting a comprehensive background check, which includes reviewing criminal history, and other relevant records. Additionally, a Department of Transportation (DOT) drug screening will be carried out to ensure compliance with federal regulations for safety-sensitive positions -Ability to effectively communicate in English in both written and verbal form -Own and maintain hand tools with the ability to demonstrate inventory and control of tools -You must have FAA Powerplant License -Aircraft Mechanic experience, engine experience
