Tasks

-Trains employees on safety procedures and safety equipment. -Attend and participate in Pre-construction meetings -Plans, administrates, and participates as instructor in company sponsored education programs for new hires and developing roof technicians. -Manage and supervise commercial roofing crews and commercial roofing jobs -Establish lines of communication with external and internal customers (GC’s, Building Owners, Owners Representatives, Consultants, Project Managers, Accounting, Operations, Field Personnel, Etc.) before, during and after job completion -Instructs the best practices for roofing production by fully participating in on the job training as well as periodic manufacturer training. -Teaches terminology of roofing materials, tools, and equipment and proper use. -Ensure jobs are completed in the most efficient and most cost effective manner

What You Bring

-Education/Experience: High School Diploma or equivalent; 8-10 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience. -Advanced planning skills for establishing maximum productivity of workforce, materials, and equipment. -Bilingual in English and Spanish highly preferred -Ability to read and analyze blueprints, general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations; -Strong interpersonal skills; oral and written communication skills. -Must not be afraid of heights and must be able to position extension ladder to access roof for roof inspection/survey. -Ability to add, subtracts, multiply, and divide in all units of measure, using whole numbers, common fractions, and decimals. -Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form. -Experience with Sheet Metal preferred -Read and understand field books with various construction job scopes of work, plans and specifications to be able to properly plan out jobs and perform work accordingly within schedules and budgets -Valid Driver’s license and clean driving record. -5+ yrs of commercial roofing experience -Must be able to pass a background check and drug test.
