Tasks

-Prepare and present survey reports to project stakeholders and senior management -Supervise and mentor survey teams, including surveyors and technicians, to ensure high-quality deliverables -Collaborate with project managers, superintendents, trades, and engineers to support construction planning and execution -Develop and implement survey strategies, including planning and scheduling survey activities -Ensure adherence to quality control, safety, and environmental standards across all survey activities -Provide technical expertise and resolve complex survey-related challenges on-site -Conduct regular safety inspections to ensure compliance with the PCL safety program -Oversee and manage survey operations for multiple projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and timelines -Review survey data, calculations, and drawings for accuracy and compliance with project specifications -Manage budget and cost control for survey operations, ensuring cost-effective resource allocation -Manage survey equipment inventory, maintenance, and calibration to ensure operational efficiency

What You Bring

-Advanced skills in surveying software such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Revit, and Trimble Business Center -Proficiency in operating and managing advanced survey equipment, including total stations, GNSS, 3D scanning equipment, and robotic systems -Proven ability to manage project schedules, budgets, and critical paths for survey operations -Minimum of 5–7 years of progressive survey experience, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or managerial role -Bachelor’s degree or diploma in surveying, geomatics, civil engineering, or a related field from a recognized institution -Advanced RPAS (Remotely Piloted Aircraft Systems) certification considered an asset but not required -Extensive knowledge of construction industry standards, specifications, and surveying methodologies -Strong leadership and communication skills to manage teams and liaise with stakeholders -Experience with Trimble equipment considered an asset -Advanced understanding of coordinate systems, including geodetic, projected, and local systems, and their application in complex survey projects
