Tasks

-Install, inspect, maintain, repair and modify high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid -Install and maintain cables making part of power distribution systems -Assist in the construction, maintenance and removal of underground and overhead power lines and equipment -Will implement safety policies, transporting materials, installing electrical transmission systems, performing repair work, and laying underground cable in trenches -Maintain interior, exterior, overhead and underground electrical distribution systems -Install, inspect, maintain, and repair high and low voltage transmission and distribution electrical grid -Assisting with continuous improvement projects and other operational tasks as required -Troubleshoot and repair overhead distribution and transmission lines -Adhere to Forbes Bros Occupational Health and Safety rules and regulations;

What You Bring

-Class 5 Driver's License, is required. Class 1 or Class 3 preferred -Minimum of three (3) years' experience in the trade, is required -Able and willing to work at various heights and climb various structures and perform manual labour in varying weather conditions and environments inclusive of heavy lifting -Able and willing to accommodate frequent overtime hours and weekend hours when required -English proficiency with the ability to read, comprehend, and execute written work plans, blueprints, and writing schematics -Strong knowledge of Transmission construction systems, strongly preferred -Strong communication skills, with the ability to direct a team to efficiently and effectively complete jobs within deadlines -Journeyman Powerline Technician Trade Certificate or Apprenticeship Card, is required -Able and willing to provide an acceptable five (5) year Driver's Abstract
