Tasks

-Provide feedback during project quoting and planning processes, and participate in business development activities. -Lead electrical engineering projects through all phases of the medical product development process. -Support the Director in managing the electrical engineering team, including mentoring junior engineers and reviewing work products. -Function as the electrical engineering lead on product development programs. -Drive targeted engineering execution from concept through commercialization, ensuring regulatory compliance and client satisfaction. -Collaborate with peers to identify and implement improvements to capabilities. -Ensure compliance with medical device regulations and standards. -Manage and report on metrics that measure the technical team's impact on the organization.

What You Bring

-Experience with battery-powered devices, wearables, IoT, home healthcare devices, and wireless technologies. -Familiarity with risk management activities such as FMEAs. -Proficiency in electrical engineering areas such as PCB schematic and layout (Altium required), analog and digital design, and FPGA design. -Strong business acumen and assertive decision-making abilities. -Knowledge of FDA QSR Regulations (21 CFR 820), ISO 13485:2003, and risk management. -Excellent verbal and written communication skills. -Working knowledge of embedded programming languages and tools (C/C++, Python, BitBucket). -Knowledge of simulation tools like Spice, Python, COMSOL, and Matlab. -Expertise in applications such as robotics, motion control systems, microfluidics, thermal control systems, optical detection, energy delivery, and medical device sensor technologies. -Understanding of medical device, diagnostic, and EMC standards. -5-8 years of related experience. -Skills in rapid prototyping, test automation, and board-level BOM management. -Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field. -Experience in design for manufacturing, assembly, and adherence to standards.
