Drilling Technician

Overview

Operate drill rigs, manage site safety, logistics, and communication for drilling projects.

Tasks

-Foster a positive working relationship with clients and team. -Ensure all crew members are fueling, greasing, and conducting repairs on all drill rigs. -Ensure all field personnel are using the proper PPE. -Operate drill rigs. -Ensure that all crew members comply with safety procedures. -Work with Supervisors, Superintendent, and managers to meet or exceed daily production goals through planning and productivity of the workforce. -Ensure the job site is secure every night.

What You Bring

-Must have a collaborative attitude and willingness to perform any work that requires general labor tasks, including hand auguring, shoveling, lifting, etc. -5+ years of drilling experience -Knowledge of Environmental remediation. -Effective daily communication with crew and managers -Knowledge of safe ground disturbance practices. -Ability to pivot tasks quickly. -Must have CDL A -Effective communication of equipment needs and servicing requirements. -Must possess strong communication ability with peers and management. -Communication - written and verbal. -Hazwoper 40- hour certificate. -OSHA 10- Hour Certificate. -DVIR, JSA, Incident Reports, Equipment inspections -Strong time management skills. -Must be able to function both in a team and without direct supervision. -Effective communication of personnel needs. -Experience with soil boring classification. -Experience working with State Regulations and related entities. -Effective communication of material needs. -2+ years in environmental or geotechnical drilling. -Proficiency in Microsoft Office. -Experience in oil and gas is desired but not required. -High school diploma or equivalent
