The Role

Overview

Assist OSHA & environmental safety, conduct inspections, training & incident investigations.

Tasks

-Identify and address at risk behaviors and conditions -Train and certify employees on forklifts and P.I.Ts. -Support in the development and updates of OSHA and Environmental policies, programs and standards -The employee regularly is required to stand, walk, sit, bend, kneel, stoop, use hands to finger, handle or feel objects, tools, or controls; and reach with hands and arms. -Provide day-to-day technical safety and health advice and consultation to employees and contractors -Support implementation of sustainability and recycling initiatives -Conduct EHS related inspections and audits, generate reports and communicate findings. -Support with and lead incident investigations (first aid, near misses, recordable, environmental and property damage) using a team-based approach to problem solving and to effectively implement corrective actions -Provide day to day support for all core OSHA programs and standards applicable to general industry manufacturing -While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk and hear. -Support in preparation and delivery of EHS performance reports for leadership

What You Bring

-Must pass any drug screens, background checks and any pre-employments tests as applicable. -Strong interpersonal skills, particularly in communication and persuasion in employee interactions -Must be able to grasp/pinch small items, reach out and up, and turn wrist -The employee must be able to climb ladders and work at heights from time to time. -Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. -Must be able to work in multiple climates including hot/cold temperatures, and dusty environment -Integrity and ability to maintain confidentiality of information -The employee frequently lifts and/or moves objects up to 35 pounds. -Capable of developing PowerPoint Presentations, Excel documents, and strong record keeping skills. -Basic understanding of fire protections systems a plus, but not required -Must be able to perform continuous, repetitious physical activities. These activities may involve fine movements or large motions -Ability to learn knowledge of Environmental, Health and Safety Regulatory Compliance -OSHA 10/30 card, environmental certifications, experience preferred -2 years related experience in general industry manufacturing environments -Must be able to perform the following requirements of bending, stooping, climbing, kneeling, and standing for extended periods of time -Skills related to computer programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and other applications -Must be able to push/pull with reasonable force
