Drafting Technician III - Substation

Overview

Create and manage substation design drawings and documentation.

Tasks

-Complete work within established schedules and budgets. -Work closely with engineers to assemble complete drawing packages. -Coordinate design efforts with other disciplines such as Civil, Structural, and Physical Substation design teams. -Ensure quality and accuracy of all deliverables and participate in quality control reviews. -Support project documentation and technical standards development as needed. -Prepare substation design drawings, including but not limited to: -Develop new drawings from existing templates, standards, sketches, or vendor information. -Research materials, catalog data, and standards to support design accuracy.

What You Bring

-Associate's degree in computer Aided Design/Drafting, Engineering Technology, or relevant CAD Certifications required. -Strong attention to detail and organizational skills. -3+ years of experience in civil drafting or related fields. -Ability to read and interpret civil engineering plans, specifications, and drawings. -Experience with topographical surveys, site development plans, or utility mapping is a plus. -Protection and control schematics -SCADA and communication drawings -Proficient in AutoCAD, AutoCAD Civil 3D, or other CAD software such as MicroStation. -Efficient communication and teamwork abilities.
