DevOps Support Engineer

Overview

Develop Python apps & AWS cloud infra, support network automation, ensure quality & security.

Tasks

-Automate infrastructure provisioning using Terraform or AWS CloudFormation. -Monitor and optimize system performance, availability, and cost using AWS CloudWatch, X-Ray, and Trusted Advisor. -Support disaster recovery, backup strategies, and incident response. -Conduct code reviews and contribute to architectural decisions. -Write clean, maintainable, and testable code following best practices. -Design, implement, and manage cloud infrastructure using AWS services such as EC2, Lambda, S3, RDS, ECS, and CloudFormation. -Collaborate with other developers, DevOps, and product teams to deliver end-to-end solutions. -Design and develop backend services, APIs, and automation tools using Python (Flask, FastAPI, Django, etc.). -Build and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools like GitLab. -Ensuring own and Teams adherence to Axians’ Management System Manual for Quality (ISO 9001), InfoSec (ISO 27001) and ESG (ISO 14001). -Ensure security and compliance through IAM policies, encryption, and best practices.

-Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. -Value Demonstration: Consistently embody and demonstrate Axians’ UK core values— Trust, Dynamic, and Supported—in all interactions and behaviours, both internally and externally. -Proficiency in containerization and orchestration (Docker, ECS, or EKS). -Familiarity with RESTful APIs, microservices, and serverless architectures. -Effective communicator and collaborative team member. -Experience with CI/CD tools and Infrastructure as Code (IaC). -AWS certifications (e.g., AWS Certified Developer, Solutions Architect, or DevOps Engineer). -Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience). -2+ years of professional experience in Python development. -Network certifications (e.g., Juniper JNICS / Cisco CCNA)
