Overview
Coordinate lab upgrades, maintenance, and modifications to support projects.

Tasks
-Review project equipment specifications and ensure compatibility with facility requirements -Develop and execute a preventive maintenance plan for lab facility equipment -Oversee the lab facility maintenance program including planned and corrective maintenance and outages. -Lead the technical troubleshooting efforts for facility equipment failures and develop corrective maintenance plans for the same -Coordinate power needs and uses for different projects at the lab facility -Draft maintenance procedures which are conducted by TerraPower personnel. -Coordinate with, schedule, and oversee the work of external service vendors to conduct maintenance. -Ensure maintenance technicians are properly trained and qualified to execute maintenance tasks. Seek outside resources for work not within the expertise of the maintenance technicians. -Develop in conjunction with project engineers for installation plans for new equipment and maintenance thereof. -Be knowledgeable of and ensure lab facilities adhere to applicable WAC, RCW, ICC, and NFPA rules

What You Bring
-Passion for working with various types of electrical and mechanical equipment, keeping track of multiple projects and their goals, and communicating with a wide variety of workers and vendors with different backgrounds and knowledge levels -Motor Abilities: Sitting and/or standing for extended periods, bending/stooping, grasping/gripping, fine motor control (hands). -B.S. or higher in mechanical engineering field, electrical engineering, or equivalent facility or equipment management experience required -Work Conditions: Stairs, typing/keyboard, standard and/or sitting working environment of >8 hrs./day. -The successful candidate will possess a high degree of trust and integrity, communicate openly and display respect and a desire to foster teamwork. -Minimum 6 years experience in the modifications and maintenance of a laboratory facility housing chemistry, radiological, or pharmaceutical experiments / production. -Effective written and verbal English communication skills required -Repetitive work: Prolonged. -Physical exertion and/or requirements: Moderate, with ability to safely lift up to 45 pounds. Extended periods of walking. -Special Senses: Visual and audio focused work. -Travel required: 0-5%. -Experience creating and modifying technical drawings and prints. AutoCAD experience is a plus -Experience planning, managing, and coordinating multiple projects
