Designated Safety Representative – Integrated Manufacturing

Ensures safety compliance on projects and facility by inspecting, advising, and reporting hazards.

Tasks

-Learn and understand the health and safety policies and procedures established by Cummings Integrated Manufacturing. -The DSR shall monitor and ensure that the operations for these activities are safe and in compliance with the applicable procedures and regulations: -Report all safety concerns, incidents, and near-misses to the Safety Manager within 24 hours of occurrence. -Routinely inspect the work areas & overall facility for safety violations and stop any unsafe work practices/conditions. -Advise all floor employees, and subcontractors regarding safe work practices needed to comply with company safety procedures, project requirements, and local, state, and federal regulations.

What You Bring

-Minimum 1-year verifiable, full-time safety experience or related discipline required. -OSHA 30Hr – General Industry Trained -Paint / Sandblast -Lockout /Tagout -Prior work within manufacturing organization a plus. -Working knowledge of OSHA 1910, ANSI, & NFPA standards -Ability to function independently and take initiative until tasks are complete. -First Aid/CPR/AED Certification -Valid Driver’s License -Bilingual a plus -Strong computer skills and adept at learning new software -Proven analytical and problem-solving skills. -Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills. -High school diploma or equivalent -Ability to handle confidential information in a discreet manner.
