The Commissioning Technical Lead I – Mission Critical ensures all systems, equipment, rooms, components, and structures are installed, tested, and operate according to project specifications, industry standards, and best practices. They are the voice in the field and assists the Senior Commissioning Technical Leads with daily responsibilities and hands on in the field.

  • Integrates schedules into the commissioning software to assist with Key project indicators.
  • Responsible for verification in the field and commissioning software that all deliverables are uploaded, filled out accurately, and field installations meet the design requirements.
  • Maintains training portfolio to ensure they are compliant with the company and industry standards to preform work.
  • Runs commissioning meetings with the subcontractors to ensure proper project turnover.
  • Contributes to the development of System Start Up Matrices and collaborates with Project Managers on schedule development for their specified disciplines.
  • Tracks commissioning issues for quick and efficient closure.
  • Reviews drawings, specifications, Sequence of Operations, and design specs to create testing documents for commissioning testing requirements.
  • Works on building out the commissioning software with the correct dependencies for proper tracking and equipment/system turn over.

Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field and 1 to 2 years of experience in commissioning preferred, or a combination of education and experience.

While performing the duties of this job, this position is required to have ordinary ambulatory skills sufficient to visit other locations; and the ability to stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, and manipulate (lift, carry, move) light to medium weights of 10-50 pounds. Requires good hand-eye coordination, and arm, hand, and finger dexterity, including the ability to grasp, and visual acuity to use a keyboard, operate equipment, and read application/form information. The associate frequently is required to sit, reach with hands and arms, talk, and hear.

  • Bachelor’s degree in any engineering field and 1 to 2 years of experience in commissioning preferred, or a combination of education and experience.
  • Advanced knowledge of the commissioning processes and procedures for Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing.
  • Ability to train, coach, and lead staff.
  • Excellent organizational, leadership, communications and analytical skills.
