Tasks
-Review and manage projects in terms of economics, OSHA Safety, Engineering Standards, Construction Standards, Operating and Maintenance Procedures. -Lead the development of cost proposals and qualification statements to achieve stated targets and standards for financial performance. -Effectively prioritize workload between several projects. -Interface with other technical/engineering disciplines to ensure the effective integration of electrical systems with the overall project design. -Review electrical equipment vendor drawings, data interface with suppliers, other engineering disciplines, detailers, designers. -Specify key electrical equipment such as medium and low voltage switchgear and motor control centers, transformers, VFD’s, Soft Start’s, UPS systems, DC systems, protective relay protection schemes, etc. -Review electrical equipment development: packaged equipment specifications and data sheets, Request for Qualifications (RFQ's), technical bid summaries, and provide purchase recommendations. -Lead the development of electrical design of projects from the conceptual phase through design completion for project needs and requirements that are set forth by the project managers. -Lead and participate in development of project schedule, scope, budget staffing planning and construction planning. Responsible for effective management of change orders. -Applies expert knowledge of commonly used electrical concepts, practices, codes, and procedures within the electrical engineering services industry. -Effectively communicate with various stakeholders, including team members, project management, commercial, 3rd party EPC firms and other internal/external customers. -Develop and/or update Company Electrical Equipment Specifications and Engineering Standards. -Prepare and present project budgets and cost estimates. Report project performance. -Maintain a high standard of ethical conduct in all work activity and company matters of every kind. -Lead and review Quality of the construction administration including coordination with field personnel to resolve design related installation issues, calculations, field inspections and testing of electrical systems. -Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to electrical engineering practice. Mentor and guide less experienced engineers. -Provide owners engineering support related to purchase specifications, technical bid evaluations, vendor document review, and factory acceptance testing for electrical equipment. -Maintain a high regard for personal safety, the safety of company assets and employees, and the general public. -Ensure that field inspections, installation, measurements are consistent with company standards and expectations. -Maintain regular, dependable attendance and a consistently high level of performance. -Responsible for QA/QC process adherence.

What You Bring
-Medium and High voltage experience including equipment specification and sizing. -Familiarity and ability to read and interpret electrical one lines, three lines, and schematic diagrams, including flow charts, Piping, and Instrument Drawings (P&IDs). -Ability to organize and prioritize daily work. -Applies knowledge and experience to complex projects, find non-standard design solutions. -Experience in arc flash studies including the use of relay coordination software (SKM, ETAP, etc.). -Interact internally and externally with a wide variety of people with tact, courtesy, and professionalism. -Must be able to perform all essential and marginal functions of the job. -Must possess and maintain a valid driver’s license and a driving record satisfactory to the company and its insurers (for travel). -Specific knowledge related to the electrical/mechanical design of rotating equipment including engines, turbines, pumps, and electric motor drives. -Strong fundamental knowledge and experience in the design and electrical systems for large industrial facilities. -Ability to successfully perform multiple tasks with strict deadlines. -Speak, both in person and by telephone, using a high level of verbal skills and careful listening. -Experience with hydrogen, syngas, ammonia, or GTL processing facilities. -In depth knowledge of National Electric Code IEC, ISA, NEC, API, IEEE, etc -10+ years of experience designing and validating large scale facility design. -Knowledge and experience in the design of electrical power and distribution systems for natural gas compressor stations, and/or refined products pump stations, and/or processing facility. -Ability to initiate and plan the design of lighting systems, power distribution systems, motor control circuits, grounding, motor drives, and secondary systems (fire and gas alarm, dc circuits, etc.) -Intermediate proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook. -Should be familiar with general substation design practices. -Well-developed analytical and problem-solving skills to address complex technical matters. -Proficiency in basic engineering skills. -Experience ETAP (develop one lines, load flow, motor starting studies. -Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution in Electrical Engineering. -Must be able to work with a team, take direction from management, adhere to required work schedules, focus attention on details, and follow work rules. -Experience with evaluation and design of electrolysis systems from an electrical perspective. -Advanced proficiency level in MS Office applications that may include but are not limited to Excel, Word, Access, PowerPoint and Outlook.
