Overview

Lead design & implementation of railway Data Communication and Video Transmission systems.

Tasks

-Site surveys and spectrum analysis -RF design and planning for optimal coverage and minimal interference -Capacity planning and throughput analysis -Installation, Test and Commissioning of Industrial networks. -Root cause analysis of RF issues -System Engineering and Hardware and Software Engineering for Interlocking and Diagnostic Systems -Antenna placement, propagation modeling, and link budget analysis

What You Bring

-Knowledge of Optical and Electrical network implementation ensuring compliance to requirements. -Degree in electronics engineering or systems engineering preferably with railway specific specialization. -Fluent English essential both written and oral, knowledge of German is an asset. -Routing & Switching Protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, EIGRP, NAT,ARP,DHCP,DNS) -Network Monitoring & Troubleshooting (Wireshark, Diagnosing latency, packet loss, and connectivity issues) -Router and switch configuration (Cisco,Fortigate,Ruggedcom). -Wireless Protocols & Standards(Deep understanding of IEEE 802.11 standards (a/b/g/n/ac/ax)) -Professional experience of minimum 8 years in railway transportation systems, ideally in the rail systems business, with the focus on (System) Engineering in CBTC domain -Team leadership and mediation skills between teams -WLAN, WWAN, WMAN design and deployment -Knowledge of project management principles and Tools(DOORS,SAP)for project realization and execution -Network configuration and Infrastructure (Metro Railway Preferred). -RF Engineering & Antenna Theory
