Graduate Design Technician

Overview

Graduate role supporting design, surveys, and drafting for utility projects.

Key Responsibilities

Tasks

-Support the design team with administrative and technical tasks as required. -Produce accurate as-laid drawings using AutoCAD, in line with client asset standards and procedures. -Undertake regular site visits and surveys to gather data for detailed designs and as-laid drawings. -Create detailed technical drawings, plans, and general arrangements to support project delivery. -Represent Network Plus at client walk-off meetings. -Prepare private land notice plans in line with client specifications. -Liaise with internal teams to ensure drawings are delivered to meet agreed KPIs. -Provide weekly progress updates to the Design/Commercial Manager.

What You Bring

-Excellent communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team -Proficiency in AutoCAD is essential -Strong problem-solving skills with a proactive approach -An understanding of basic engineering principles -Organised, with the ability to manage workload across multiple projects -Good IT skills, including Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook -A full UK driving licence is essential for this role -Willingness to learn and train in GNSS/GPS surveying equipment -A degree or HNC/HND in an engineering, design, or related discipline (or equivalent experience)
