Tasks

-Ensure that design solutions are robust to meet client specifications and allow accurate tender submissions to be developed -Ensure all Health, Safety, Quality and Environmental requirements are considered. -Assess cost/benefit trade-off of technical solution and support the technical decision making processes -Identify areas for technological advancement whilst maintaining excellent engineering standards -Ensure safe working methods and systems are followed in the design -Develop, and checking the delivery of designs across the UKPN Services business that that deliver Good Industry Practice -Creating a safe working environment for all staff and contractors supporting the business. -Fulfil all UKPNS Health and Safety requirements. -Provide technical input to the team and into UKPN Services bids -Mentor junior staff in all matters relating to Health & Safety aligned with their role.

What You Bring

-Knowledge of Power distribution, Electrification, SCADA, and Communication systems -Chartered Engineer or working towards achieving Chartership -Degree level or equivalent in engineering or science -Experience in development of concept and detailed primary and secondary designs up to 132kV -Basic knowledge of project management -Membership of a professional body such as the IET
