Decarbonisation Implementation Lead

Description

• Delivery of the actions set out in the agreed Decarbonisation Strategy and Route Map
• Lead the re-definition of our corporate carbon boundary and rebase lining of our carbon emissions
• Lead the process of introducing TCFD and TNFD reporting
• Provide reports and presentations to share the outputs of the project with partners and other bodies
• Support the Director of Development, Capital Delivery and Decarbonisation to deliver the initial actions laid out in our Decarbonisation Strategy Route-Map
• Project manage the process of embedding carbon management standards across the organisation
• Ensure the proper governance and operation of the project through operation of a Project Board and in accordance with good project management principles

Requirements

• Previous experience of organisational change management
• Competent user of Microsoft Office suite
• Relevant post graduate qualification or professional accredited qualification
• Leadership skills to engage productively and constructively with internal and external parties.
• Ability to work under own initiative as well as effectively as part of a team.
• Ability to build effective relationships and contribute to the wider team.
• Relevant degree level qualification or equivalent work experience
• Ability to work well under pressure and to deliver to tight deadlines.
• Previous experience within an organisation managing a similar environment
• Excellent analytical skills including for financial analysis and interpretation.
• Significant experience of carbon management and financial risk reporting
• Excellent communication skills both written and verbal including persuasion and influence.
• Track record of full life cycle planning and delivery of projects/programmes including planning, resource management, budgeting, risk and issue management
• Excellent work ethic and highly motivated to achieve results.
• Well-organised with a methodical and objective approach, and an attention to detail and accuracy.
