The Role
Overview
Operate, inspect, and maintain building MEP systems and supervise contractors.

Tasks
-Maintain lighting system bulbs and ballasts -Performs all duties in a safe manner, comply with all safety procedures and maintaining clean and safe work areas in accordance with established work standards and practices -Performs building and equipment maintenance and repairs -Recognize danger and safety hazards and propose methods to eliminate them -Participate in ongoing technical, safety, and operational process training programs -Respond and perform emergency repairs or preventative maintenance off hours as directed on nights and weekends -Performs predictive maintenance, preventative maintenance, maintenance routines and equipment rounds and service requests as directed -Documents work performance and materials procurement as directed, using work order system -Provide on-call response as required -Moves office furniture, machinery, equipment and other materials as requested -Assist the Chief Engineer and other building team members in the maintenance and repair of building and equipment as needed -Participate in the annual JLL Engineering Operations Compliance Program (OCP), working to achieve an agreed upon a passing score as determined by the General Manager -Supervises and direct contractors and monitors performance of their assigned responsibilities. Performs and/or directs the performance of assigned maintenance service requests, insuring that work performed in these areas is accomplished efficiently with a minimum amount of disruption and inconvenience

What You Bring
-Ability to comply with both Jones Lang LaSalle and client-directed Policies & Procedures. -Ability to use hand tools, power tools and other equipment required to complete job tasks -High school diploma or GED equivalent -Completion of an applicable technical training program is desirable, have a minimum of one (3) years of applicable working experience in general building repair and maintenance, basic plumbing, and basic electrical. -Candidate must possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license. -Successful candidate must be self-motivated who can work independently or on a team. -Must have ability to lift a minimum of 50 lbs., use ladders, possess mechanical and electrical aptitude, Windows based computers and have good communication skills in English, both oral and written. -Candidate must provide own basic hand tools required to perform assigned work, while other tools and equipment are provided by the building owner -Minor HVAC, plumbing & electrical repairs
