The Role
Overview
Design fire alarm systems, create AutoCAD drawings, and coordinate projects.

Tasks
-Coordinate technical documents with other disciplines/contractors -Prepare fire alarm drawings using AutoCAD based on both site surveys and architectural prints -Coordinate onsite surveys with operations team. -Submit drawings and track the review processes with multiple AHJ’s -Assist superintendents and field personnel on system and code applications -Maintain project drawing files and records -Calculate, design and coordinate a project from beginning to end -Modify and/or create processes to ensure consistent production and document control -Participate in design turnover and bid review meetings -Assist sales department with system configuration, take-offs, specification review and code applications for estimating projects

What You Bring
-Strong knowledge of industry codes such as IFC, NFPA, IBC, and NEC -Ability to work in a fast-paced service/construction team environment -Ability to read and interpret architectural, electrical and mechanical drawings -Excellent verbal and written communication skills -Ability to maintain accurate and auditable records -Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel, and Outlook -APS State of TX or NICET III preferred -High School diploma or GED is required -Minimum 2-3 years of experience in Fire Alarm system design and Auto CAD -Strong customer service skills -Construction experience is a plus
