Tasks

We're seeking a strategic and analytical Senior Data Analyst to support Customer Operations through data-driven insights, performance metrics, dashboards, and reporting. This role plays a key part in workforce planning, performance management, and strategy development. You’ll evaluate system data, identify trends, and benchmark against industry standards to optimize Customer Operations and ensure compliance with regulatory timelines. This role also supports cross-functional initiatives across Meter Data and Billing, Meter Operations, and Customer Connections. -Developing, implementing and reviewing reporting, metrics and process projects to ensure compliance with policies, standards, regulatory requirements and the mitigation of risks -Mentoring and supporting junior team members and providing guidance on department initiatives -Implementing change management methodologies and advising on relevant measures to drive employee adoption and business success to achieve the goals of project sponsors -Providing input to the Meter Data and Billing team business plans and directions, ensuring an appropriate understanding of the Meter Data and Billing team strategy -Aiding in the development of performance metrics and measurements for various aspects and drivers for Customer Operations -Following defined processes for adherence and maintenance of regulatory and corporate controls and audits including CSOX initiatives -Manage SharePoint documentation and ensure consistent process integration across teams according to EPCOR standards -Conducting high level analyses and monitoring of operational metrics to provide recommendations into financial decisions, process improvements, regulatory filings, management reporting and data governance -Reviewing and monitoring operational requirements for analytics support and ensuring that all deliverables are complete within established timelines -Researching, designing and leading the implementation of new processes, policies, procedures, work practices, tools and system requirements necessary to achieve process and performance improvement -Representing Meter Data and Billing in projects and initiatives that require analytical experience and knowledge of Customer Operations -Tracking and analyzing key metrics for Meter Data and Billing, Meter Operations and/or Customer Connections, as required to identify opportunities for efficiency improvements

Some EPCOR positions require an enhanced level of background assessment, which is dictated by law. These positions require advanced criminal record checks that must also be conducted from time to time after commencement of employment. -4-6 years demonstrated analytical skills in a business environment -Degree in Economics, Data Science, Statistics, Business, Computer Science or Engineering is required -Experience implementing machine learning models to initiate improvements and support decision making is considered an asset -Intermediate knowledge of the Settlement System Code (AUC Rule 021) and the Tariff Billing Code (AUC Rule 004) is an asset -Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on continuous improvement -Broad-based business operations knowledge -Expert level skills in analytics, reporting, metrics design and data visualization -Understanding of project management and change management principles desired -2+ years of leadership experience in a direct supervisory or project management role -Proficiency in Word, Excel, Power BI (or similar data analytics platforms), SQL, Python, Databricks are essential -Experience working in a regulated utility is an asset -A requirement of working for EPCOR is that you are at least 18 years of age, successfully attained a high school diploma (GED, or equivalent level of secondary education) and legally entitled to work in Canada. (A copy of a valid work permit may be required.)

Benefits

This position may be eligible for EPCOR’s hybrid work program. Hours of work: 80 hours biweekly Wage: Starting from $50.95 per hour (Final Wage and step will be determined at the time of selection and is subject to change based on the ratification of the new Collective Agreement.)
