Overview

Provide cost planning, estimating, and contract management for large property projects.

Tasks

-Interfacing with the client and other consultants, at all project stages -Estimating and cost planning to include producing and presenting the final cost plan -Negotiating and agreeing final accounts -Tendering and procuring of construction works including providing procurement advice to Clients -Inputting into value engineering -Assisting on feasibility studies -Producing monthly post contract cost reports and presenting them to the client -Taking personal responsibility for making cost checks and carrying out valuations on larger projects and in all cases ensuring that timely and accurate cost checking and valuation takes place -Dealing effectively with post contract cost variances and the change control processes

What You Bring

-RICS accredited surveyor or approaching final assessment -Excellent interpersonal and communication skills including the ability to influence and lead stakeholders and third parties -Commercial experience on major building projects £1m-10m+ in value -Demonstration of self-management and prioritisation skills with the ability to work in a fast paced environment -Capable of working with the project lead in taking a project through from inception to completion -Strong knowledge of the JCT Contracts
