Tasks
Vendor sourcing and price benchmarking The incumbent is responsible to study and understand the requisition of materials from the various jobs/contracts, source for ideal suppliers, negotiate the optimum prices and manage appropriate logistics for delivery. He will effectively manage the inventory levels as per the prescribed norms. -Quality Assurance Ensure materials meet specs and approvals. Coordinate inspections and handle non-conformance and replacements. Ensure regulatory compliance. -Vendor Management Identify, assess, and prequalify MEP vendors and subcontractors. Float enquiries, evaluate offers, and maintain strong vendor relationships. -MEP Procurement Procure HVAC systems, electrical and plumbing materials, and related consumables. Coordinate subcontract services, equipment hire, and labor as needed. Ensure timely delivery with complete documentation. -Process Improvement Suggest process and cost-efficiency improvements. Support ERP adoption (e.g., SAP-MM) and assist the Senior Officer. Handle additional duties as assigned. -Cost & Budget Control Analyze offers for value, prepare comparisons, and seek approvals. Monitor spending vs. budget and flag deviations or savings. -Logistics Management Arrange transport, offloading, and storage as per PO terms. Track deliveries, manage schedules, and resolve delays. -Documentation & Compliance Manage POs, subcontract agreements, and related documents. Ensure compliance with specs, standards, and contracts. Keep accurate procurement records. -Procurement Planning Review MEP material requisitions and BOQs. Align procurement schedules with project timelines and lead times to ensure timely ordering. -Stakeholder Coordination Work with engineers, planners, and site teams to prioritize needs. Share updates on procurement status and resolve delays. Bridge communication between suppliers and internal teams.

What You Bring
Proficiency in SAP-MM module and Microsoft Office (especially Excel). Communication and interpersonal skills In-depth knowledge of MEP materials and systems Additional certifications in Supply Chain Management or Procurement (preferred). Strong organizational and time management skills. Minimum 10 years of procurement experience in the MEP sector within the UAE/GCC construction industry. Strong attention to detail and accuracy Documentation and ERP (SAP-MM) usage Proven expertise in sourcing HVAC, plumbing, and electrical materials, equipment, and subcontracted services. Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering ( Mechanical Engineering preferred) with strong understanding in Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing items. Proficiency in Microsoft Excel & MS Office Understanding of construction project life cycles and associated procurement challenges. Cost analysis and market awareness Ability to work independently and as part of a team, managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Knowledge of procurement policies and compliance Knowledge & Skills (Technical & Functional Skills ) Strong negotiation and communication skills. Familiarity with local and international supplier markets.
