Tasks

The Senior Advisor will sit in the Parliamentary and Ministerial Services Team and assist with complex project work, overseeing the delivery of products and workflows within the office, and preparing briefings and written materials to support the team. This position will be responsible for ensuring quality assurance and managing high-priority issues, provide expert guidance on a range of policy and business matters supporting the division and CEO. -Monitoring and reporting on key issues, such as risks, emerging trends, preparing and present reports, ministerial briefs, Cabinet submissions, and related documentation. -Making decisions that can establish precedents and shape the practices of internal and external stakeholders. -Developing and implementing policies and initiatives that support government and departmental goals, to ensure delivery within defined resources, timelines, and budget constraints.

What You Bring

Preferred candidates will be subject to pre-employment checks including, but not limited to, police checks, reference checks, qualification checks and role related clearances. -Demonstrated experience in producing clear, tailored written materials such as reports and briefs, ensuring they are written with accuracy, clarity, and in the appropriate style. -Tertiary qualifications in communications, business management, politics, governance, public policy, or project management are highly regarded. -Proven ability to build strong relationships, foster collaboration, and manage conflict across all levels and with external stakeholders. -Skills in developing and communicating evidence-based policy options, with strong analytical skills, an understanding of current issues, and experience engaging stakeholders to inform policy.
