The Role
Overview
Handles resident payments, invoices, reports, and financial admin for student housing.

Tasks
-Support front desk operations as needed, including tours, package/mail handling, and answering phones. -Communicate with residents about account balances (via letters, emails, calls, and notices). -Use property management software to manage resident accounts, including billing and payments. -Assist with leasing, marketing, and residential programs as needed. -Provide customer service. -Process resident payments and issue receipts. -Create and process invoices and daily bank deposits. -Create year-end reports for management and stakeholders. -Handle NSF checks and communicate with residents. -Submit deposit logs to management regularly. -Serve as primary contact for site vendors on accounts payable/receivable issues. -Prepare weekly reports on receivables, delinquencies, and cancellations for management and stakeholders. -Maintain filing system and manage confidential information. -Keep accurate records of deposits, payments, and charges. -Assist with financial close at month-end and prepare necessary reports. -Order office supplies as needed. -Collect and track past due resident payments weekly. -Reconcile invoices and receipts using various software systems. -Process monthly delinquency reports. -Assist with past due collections, including court filings and evictions. -Conduct regular audits of student accounts for accuracy.

What You Bring
-Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills. -Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines effectively. -2-3 years’ clerical experience in property management. -Strong written and verbal communication skills. -Proficiency in property management software (e.g., AppFolio, Yardi, or similar platforms). -Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook. -High school diploma or general education degree (GED). Bachelor’s degree and relevant experience preferred. -Ability to operate basic office equipment including photocopier, fax, and telephone. Basic typing and filing skills
