Overview
Process and ship biopsy specimens, manage inventory, and maintain records for cancer research labs.

Tasks
-Accurately document biological specimen collection information and maintain organized storage of specimens and records. -Utilize knowledge of different sample/specimen tube types for processing and shipping specimens. -Provide routine maintenance to lab equipment and file paperwork for all samples. -Use centrifuge, aliquot, and pipetting techniques for sample preparation. -Ensure the de-identification of patient files and surgical reports in compliance with HIPAA regulations. -Support inventory management and create, package, and quality assure prep kits before sending them to patients. -Work with human samples, including urine, blood, fecal matter, and saliva, and perform complex testing for blood. -Follow regulatory processes for specimen collection and ensure compliance with industry standards. -Input patient data accurately into electronic medical records and research databases. -Perform repetitive laboratory tasks and collect tissues/body fluids from various hospital and clinic settings for transport to research laboratories.

What You Bring
-Experience working with blood samples, including DNA extractions, centrifuging, and aliquoting. -Associates in Science with 2 years of laboratory experience. -Associate’s Degree in a relevant science (Biology or Chemistry) with 2 years of industry-regulated lab experience in a GMP or GLP environment. -Experience in clinical laboratory and specimen processing. -Familiarity with PBMC, sample preparation, and shipping procedures. -Ability to multitask and adapt to new SOPs and guidelines. -Bachelor's of Science with 1 year of industry-regulated lab experience. -Proficiency in using Excel or LIMS lab software for data entry and inventory control. -Proficiency in pipetting, centrifuge use, and aliquoting.
