Land Development Designer

Tasks

-Providing design ideas and solutions and perform quality control of construction documents -Coordinating project drawings with project managers, design staff and others -Coordinating designs with utility providers -Ensuring that the projects' needs are met in a timely and effective manner -Preparing conceptual and final grading, site servicing and road design for residential, commercial and institutional land development projects -Coordinating design components with other disciplines, and possible work with other offices -Assisting with construction site inspections and meetings -Formulating earthwork quantity analysis, and management processes -Collecting field data to support engineering and water resources projects -Preparing presentation graphics and report figures -Assisting with resolution of technical issues on construction sites -Preparing / assisting with construction tender/contract documents -Preparing complete submission packages, supporting calculations, cost estimates, project schedules, and other duties

What You Bring

-Ability to prioritize multiple tasks and work with teams -Comprehensive working knowledge and experience with Civil 3D and Autocad -Experience in preparing land development and municipal engineering drawings, including grading and servicing plans, storm and sanitary drainage plans, erosion control drawings, etc. -Knowledge of the local geographic area and area municipality design standards is an asset -Working knowledge of Microsoft Word & Excel -Registered or eligible for registration as a Certified Engineering Technologist or Professional Engineer -Minimum of 3 years of experience within a land development consulting engineering environment
