Tasks

-Collaborates with other business units to support the successful execution of vendor payments and payment terms -Supports direct Supervisor, Finance Leaders, and other Leaders in the company through planning, coordination, and implementation of special internal financial reports, assigned projects, and activities -Responsible for the execution of accounting functions to include the monthly financial close, posting of month-end information, executing tax-related reporting processes, and the reconciliation of general ledger accounts, ensuring accuracy and timeliness -Works safely at all times and adheres to all applicable safety policies; complies with all company policies, procedures, and standards -Answers and resolves escalated customer (internal/external) questions and needs -Hires, develops, evaluates, and influences effective and consistent productivity and teamwork to ensure the delivery of Legendary Customer Service (LCS) -Models, promotes, reinforces, and rewards the consistent use of HOLT’s Values-Based Leadership (VBL) tools, models, and processes to ensure alignment with our Vision, Values, and Mission -Provides accounting assistance to business units, vendor payments, and responds to financial questions/concerns to meet business needs -Occasionally moves materials or equipment weighing up to 15lbs. -Compiles and analyzes financial information and departmental metrics -This role routinely uses standard office equipment such as computers, phones, photocopiers, filing cabinets, and fax machines -Assigns, delegates, and coordinates the work of accounting staff to ensure department objectives are timely met -Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; coaching and development; appraising performance; rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

What You Bring

-Excellent organizational, planning, multi-tasking, and time management skills, deadline-oriented -Strong research, problem-solving, and investigation skills -Strong interpersonal communication skills, including both written and oral -Ability to work independently, manage and develop a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment with emphasis on accuracy and timeliness -Three to four years of supervisory and management experience required -Comprehensive knowledge of business accounting principles, budget preparation, and strong business acumen -This position involves extended periods in a stationary position; additionally, occasional movement inside the office to access office machinery, file cabinets, etc. -Minimum seven years of applicable experience required -Certified Public Accounting (CPA) required -Travel up to 15% and some overnight travel may be required -Bachelor’s degree in Accounting required; Master’s degree in Accounting or related field preferred -Excellent interpersonal skills to establish working relationships with multiple departments and various levels of the organization -Advanced knowledge of the fundamental audit strategies that include policies, procedures, and best practices in addition to emerging audit practices and trends -Frequently works at a fast pace with unscheduled interruptions -Advanced understanding of MS Office products -Advanced expert knowledge of GAAP (generally accepted accounting principles) as it applies to the industry and company -Ability to work in fast fast-paced environment with frequent interruptions -Advanced knowledge of computerized ERP systems and understanding of the integration of accounting systems -This role frequently communicates with others, and must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
