What You Bring

-Ability to read, speak and write fluently in English. -Unencumbered license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in the State employed required. -Knowledge of PACE regulations, infection control practices, and quality assurance and improvement. -Associate Degree in Nursing (RN), Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in nursing. -Broad knowledge base of physical, mental, and social needs of the frail elderly and their families. -Strong knowledge about the PACE model and philosophy of care. -Strong knowledge of nursing standards and best practices. -Must have a valid driver’s license, proof of insurance and have means of transportation. -Familiarity with word processing, data processing, and computer entry skills to match existing management and other software used by the program. -Demonstrated effective leadership and decision-making skills. Ability to apply creative problem-solving skills to complex issues. Ability to plan, prioritize, and follow-up on responsibilities. -Excellent interpersonal communication and phone skills. Ability to prepare written assessments and correspondence. Ability to read and interpret rules and regulations. -Proven experience leading a team of professionals. -Knowledge of medical equipment and instruments. -A minimum of one year’s experience in working with the frail or elderly population. -Skilled in physical assessment and triaging. Ability to react calmly and effectively in emergency situations. -Skilled in preparing and maintaining medical records. -Ability and willingness to work in various locations and environments. -Skilled in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with participants, medical staff, staff members and family caregivers. -Ability to utilize computers and other electronic devices for tasks such as timekeeping, in-servicing and documentation. -Must have medical clearance for communicable diseases and up-to-date immunizations before having direct participant contact. -Bachelor and/or Master’s Degree from an accredited school in nursing strongly preferred. -Ability to foster collaborative working relationships. Ability to supervise, direct, coach, and develop direct reports and larger team. Demonstrated ability to work with a diverse team and flourish in a flexible work environment. -A minimum of five (5) years of nurse management experience in a hospital, nursing home or community-based setting strongly preferred.
