Senior tech support for USCG UHF MILSATCOM; integration, testing, maintenance, training.

Tasks

-Assist in creating and editing job aids and training documentation as needed. -Provide integration, installation, testing, troubleshooting, maintenance support, and technical training assistance as required. -Perform related work as assigned in an unsupervised, reactive, and mission-critical environment. -Provide Subject Matter Expert (SME) support for UHF MILSATCOM for USCG Cutters and Shore stations.

What You Bring

-Knowledge and use of systems include, but are not limited to: -Travel required to CONUS / OCONUS facilities. -Ability to exercise independent judgment. -External crypto devices: (KY-58, KYV-5, KIV-7M, KGV-11) -TOP SECRET Security Clearance. -Ability to organize and prioritize one's work as well as that of assigned personnel. -AV457 Antennas -Excellent written communication skills, including the development and editing of business, operational, and technical documents, as well as engineering changes, meeting and trip reports, Maintenance Procedures (MPCs), training materials, and after-action reports. -Able to lift 50 lbs. -Ability to deal with people professionally and courteously. -Secure Voice Distribution systems -Excellent oral communication skills, including customer interactions, formal and informal training, and meeting facilitation. -Operational and Maintenance Knowledge of the following radio systems: -Capable of ascending shipboard ladders. -Associate Degree in Engineering Technology, or equivalent AND seven (7) years of installation/integration experience. -Spectrum Analyzer -Effective oral and written communication skills. -Ability to work independently or as part of a team, as required. -Familiar with the following test equipment: -AV2098 Antennas -Antenna Analyzer -Cornet Switch -Communications analyzer (CMA-180) -Must be able to successfully pass a pre-employment background check and pre-hire drug test. -Six (6) years with a degree/formal training or ten (10) years with HS/GED of operational and maintenance experience with inshore- and shipboard-based U.S. Coast Guard (USCG) UHF MILSATCOM systems. -Ability to research and analyze operational data. -Valid U.S. Passport. -Well-versed in Microsoft Office and related business software. -Capable of working at heights (shipboard masts and rooftop antenna locations). -Knowledge and use of USCG shipboard internal and external communications systems. -U.S. Citizen.
