The Role

Overview

Welcoming host to greet guests, manage seating, reservations, and handle grab‑&‑go transactions.

Tasks

-Communicate effectively with servers, bartenders, and management to coordinate guest flow and resolve any issues promptly. -Maintain a clean and organized host stand and entry area, ensuring a welcoming atmosphere. -Assist with answering phone calls, taking reservations, and providing information about the restaurant and hotel offerings. -Monitor and comply with all local, state, and federal regulations regarding food safety and service. -Greet guests warmly upon arrival, manage waitlists and reservations, and ensure efficient seating to maximize guest satisfaction. -Support team members with light bussing, resetting tables, and stocking menus & supplies as needed. -Learn and maintain thorough knowledge of Junie’s food and beverage menu to answer guest questions and promote menu items. -Handle any take-out/grab & go guest transactions using the point-of-sale system, including processing cash and credit card payments accurately.

What You Bring

-Capacity to work in a busy and sometimes noisy environment. -Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure. -Strong communication and interpersonal skills. -Basic math skills and attention to detail for handling transactions. -Previous experience in a host, cashier, or customer service role preferred. -Ability to stand for extended periods.
