Develop and maintain corporate construction standards, policies, and operational processes.
Analyze and interpret complex data, processes, and problems to develop solutions and recommendations.
Approve requisitions, expenditures, and other transactions within authority limits to protect civic assets.
Prepare technical and business reports, public responses, memos, and presentations.
Manage and oversee construction projects, ensuring compliance with scope, budget, and schedule.
Oversee contract administration and engineering processes during construction. Respond to public, City Council, and Executive inquiries and concerns.
Manage consultant engineering firms and review proposals, schedules, and designs to ensure compliance with City standards.

Proof of education is required.

Experience in project management, budget preparation, and financial analysis.
A two (2) year Diploma in Civil Engineering Technology, Environmental Engineering Technology, or Water Resources Technology with a minimum of five (5) years’ experience with water, wastewater and/or drainage infrastructure.
Knowledge of Provincial Occupational Health and Safety regulations and City safety policies.
Ability to interpret technical documents, regulations, bylaws, and specifications.
Demonstrated knowledge of and experience with wastewater processes, theories, statistics, and Strong knowledge of wastewater and drainage infrastructure planning, design, construction, maintenance, and operations.
Strong problem-solving, analytical, and decision-making skills.
A University degree in Engineering, such as Civil, Mechanical or Environmental Systems, with a minimum of four (4) years related engineering experience in the field of municipal water, wastewater, drainage, and solid waste infrastructure.
Must possess a valid Class Five (5) driver’s license and have a vehicle available for work usage.
Proficiency in engineering software such as ArcMap GIS, AutoCAD Civil 3D, WaterCAD, or InfoWorks ICM.
Must be registered with Technology Professionals Saskatchewan (TPS) as a Professional Technologist (P.Tech) or be eligible to obtain registration during the probation period.
Registered or eligible for registration as a professional engineer with the Association of Professional Engineers and Geoscientists of Saskatchewan.
