Tasks

-Track division financial performance, job progress, and invoicing accuracy. -Manage project scheduling, resource allocation, and overall team productivity. -Hire, train, and supervise field technicians specializing in MV cable terminations and splices. -Foster a Customer-First Mindset -Lead business development efforts to grow the MV cable installation and testing service line. -Establish and maintain safety culture aligned with corporate EHS initiatives. -Develop and implement a technical training and certification program for all MV field personnel. -Building Effective Teams – Creates strong morale and spirit in his/her team; shares wins and successes; fosters open dialogue; lets people finish and be responsible for their work; lets subordinates present to senior management; acts as if real success is the success of the team. -Organizing – Can marshal resources (people, funding, material, support) to get things done; can orchestrate multiple activities at once to accomplish a goal; uses resources effectively and efficiently; arranges information and files in a useful manner. -Maintain the company’s Texas Electrical Contractor’s License and ensure proper use and compliance. -Ensure all work complies with NEC, NFPA 70E, OSHA, NETA, and state/local electrical codes. -Perform performance evaluations and mentor team members for career growth. -Directing Others– Is good at establishing clear directions; sets stretching objectives; distributes the workload appropriately; lays out work in a well-planned and organized manner; maintains two-way dialogue with subordinates on work and results. -Develop and review proposals, contracts, and cost estimates. -Oversee and review MV termination projects to ensure safety, quality, and customer satisfaction. -Support the development of specialty MV cable testing services, such as VLF, tan delta, and partial discharge testing.

What You Bring

-Communicate effectively, writing and verbally, with clients, peers, subordinates and management. -Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, or equivalent technical school or miltary background in power systems preferred. -Must hold certifications for installing multiple style and manufacture MV terminations and splices. Certification on Pfisterer terminations preferred. -Must hold and maintain a Texas Electrical Contractor License. -Action-oriented with strong drive for results and quality execution. -Action Oriented – Enjoys hard work; is action oriented and full of energy for the things that he/she sees as challenging; not fearful of acting with a minimum of planning; seizes opportunities when they arise. -Proven supervisory or management experience in the electrical testing or contracting industry. -Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office and project management tools. -Minimum of 7 years of experience in medium voltage cable installation, splicing, and termination. -Ability to build and develop effective teams. -Strong understanding of MV power distribution systems, terminations, and testing methods. -Valid Driver’s License. -Willing to do some overnight travel to cover field region and attend company meetings. -Regularly required to sit, stand, walk, use hands and fingers, talk and hear. Required to sit and work at computer. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision and the ability to adjust focus. -Excellent leadership, planning, and communication skills.
