The Role
Overview
Develop and maintain CAD drawings/models for water and wastewater infrastructure projects.

Tasks
-Work closely with other senior and principal engineers and other stakeholders supporting project delivery. -Ensure quality assurance systems and procedures are followed. -Compliance with and development of CAD standards and standard CAD blocks. -Prepare and produce of engineering drawings, and assisting engineers in preparation of technical details -Assist in training junior staff or new team members on CAD software and best practices. -Work on a wide variety of projects across a variety of major long-term frameworks with water companies and contractors across the UK.

What You Bring
-Familiarity with construction methods, equipment and materials used in water infrastructure projects, including pipelines, treatment plants, and storage facilities. -You will have a reasonable understanding of how water and wastewater treatment processes, networks and pipelines operate. -You will be experienced in producing drawings, models, schedules and diagrams at all stages of the project lifecycle, and will have worked in the water industry and ideally for a range of clients and to a range of CAD and design standards. -HNC in a relevant engineering subject or equivalent -Experience in AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or Revit would be an advantage. -Experience in civil and structural design, reinforcement detailing and MEICA (Mechanical, Electrical, Instrumentation, Control, and Automation) design. -A full driving licence. -Strong attention to detail to ensure accuracy in drawings and compliance with industry standards. -Familiarity with BIM (Building Information Modelling) and integration of CAD with data management software and add-ins, including intelligent P+IDs -Proficiency in AutoCAD and similar packages for creating and modifying technical drawings. -You will be experienced in liaising with design teams to understand fully the project needs. You will be able to work with different disciplines and provide a quality output. You will have a high level of attention to detail and be passionate about the quality of your work. -Understanding of relevant regulations, standards, and best practices in the water industry. -Relevant experience working in an engineering consultancy, preferably within the water industry.
