The Role

Overview

Manage material storage, supply, stock control, and procurement processes for the company.

Tasks

-Take a leading role in the annual & periodic material stores & van stock taking activities, presenting outcomes & improvement proposals where identified. -Develop knowledge, which is subsequently embedded within the process & knowledge systems to speed-up & inform decision making. Help with the development & harmonisation of the Company’s processes & Knowledge-based systems. -Help with the development of Departmental Plan’s, ensuring compliance & departmental performance therein. -Ensure full compliance with the Company’s Business Assurance Standards in all relevant reporting, documentation, record keeping & procedures. -Develop new whilst maintaining existing material stock system, ensuring that materials stocked, are to the agreed specification & stock levels are maintained at the optimum usage & financial levels. -Ensure the personal safety & safe working environment of staff. -Use regularly the company’s information systems technology to process data that monitors the internal material store stocks & records material transactions with suppliers & colleagues. -Where applicable, provide leadership, support, & guidance to subordinates. -Control of the material storage supply arrangements & facilities, ensuring that materials are stored safely, & security processes are implemented to prevent any unauthorized material being taken from stores. -Process material requisitions from colleagues through the implementation of the agreed processes & information systems. -Continually identify risks & areas for improvement / opportunity / waste / non-value-added. Communicate these in the most appropriate format to the respective recipient in a timely manner.

What You Bring

-Forklift Licence. -CIPS Level 3. -Knowledge of Change Management. -Possess strong & effective inter-personal & communication skills & the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group of clients & personnel. -Knowledge of Sage Line 100 or Sage 200. -Experience of Purchasing / Supply Chain Management / Logistics within a fast-moving customer-focused environment. -Excellent IT skills – including but not limited to, Word Processing, Spreadsheets & Databases.
