Electronics Technician (Cat 6 Experience Required) - 100 Percent Travel Required

Overview

Install, maintain, and troubleshoot electronic/voice systems for ATC towers.

Tasks

-Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities. -Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and other technicians to complete projects on time and within budget. -Install and configure electronic equipment and systems, including servers, routers, switches, and other networking devices. -Perform routine maintenance and troubleshooting to identify and resolve issues with electronic systems. Troubleshoot, repair, align, and calibrate audio equipment and voice communication systems to the component level, utilizing schematics, theory of operation, general and system specific test equipment. -Terminate LAN cables, terminal blocks and other electronic wiring, ensuring proper connections and signal integrity. -Set up and secure equipment racks, ensuring proper organization and accessibility. -Adhere to safety protocols and industry standards to ensure a safe working environment. -Follow technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to ensure accurate installation and repair. -Troubleshoot, modify and install various types of electronic equipment such as electronic transmitting and receiving equipment (e.g., radar, radio, and telecommunication); personal and main frame computers and terminals, industrial, medical, measuring, and controlling equipment; and industrial robotic devices. -Conduct tests and inspections to verify the functionality and performance of installed equipment. -Assist with site preparation work for voice switches at Air Traffic Control Centers (ATCTs), Enroute Centers and Terminal TRACONs.

What You Bring

-Must be able to meet customer security requirements. A background check by federal authorities will be performed. -Familiarity with tools and equipment used in electronic installations and repairs. -Experience with specific brands or types of electronic equipment commonly used in the industry. -Proficiency in terminating LAN cables and other electronic wiring. -Proven experience in installing and maintaining electronic equipment and systems. -High school diploma is required. -5+ years’ experience with testing, repairing, troubleshooting, and installation of Fiber Optics, other Radio Control Systems (RCE) and other complex electronics equipment -Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail. -Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams. -Good communication and teamwork skills. -Physical ability to lift and install equipment, work in confined spaces, and perform tasks that may require standing or bending for extended periods. -Knowledge of industry standards and best practices for electronic installations. -Must be able to travel up to 100% within the USA. -Basic Microsoft suite, Internet, and E-mail.
