Tasks
-Responsible for overseeing 3 direct reports within salaried payroll and being part of a large payroll team. -Manage complex payroll for diverse populations, with multiple systems and pay cycles / schedules, in most Canadian provinces (including Quebec). -Work in a hands-on role, with significant individual preparation as well as review and oversight over the work of others. -Prepare periodic and year-end income tax reporting processes and remittances. -Respond to inquiries from employees and other stakeholders in a timely and professional manner. -Responsible for processing leaves of absence, such as maternity and parental leaves, as well as complex terminations. -Assist with all day-to-day aspects of the Payroll Department with a primary focus on the salary population and involvement with hourly populations. -Prepare statutory reporting and remittances. -Assist with running and overseeing the salaried payroll that consists of 3,500 employees. -Assist with payroll accounting functions, reconciliations, and reporting.

What You Bring
-You can work at the office in-person located in London, ON. This is a fully in office position. -You have your Payroll Compliance Professional Designation through the National Payroll Association. -You have 5+ years of progressive payroll experience. -You have supervisor experience or have had direct reports. -You can read and interpret collective bargaining agreements and determine related payroll requirements. -You are detail oriented and eager to work in a fast-paced environment. -You can learn and adapt quickly in an unfamiliar environment and are able to work with minimal supervision. -You are familiar with payroll legislative requirements in multiple Canadian provinces, with knowledge of Quebec requirements an asset.
