The Role

Overview

Coordinate, document, and report QC/QA activities on construction projects.

Tasks

-Manage source and receiving inspections for permanent materials and equipment -Evaluate supplier quality documentation for contract compliance -Perform work safely and effectively. Understand and follow oral and written instructions, including warning signs, equipment use, and other policies. -Perform inspections and tests as directed, ensuring compliance with required frequency and standards -Review and approve inspection and test results for compliance with contract documents, codes, and standards -Conduct verification inspections for designated risk levels and document acceptance -Prepare and maintain inspection/test reports and quality records -Review work packs for readiness prior to pre-activity meetings and construction execution -Communicate test results to the project team with complete and accurate documentation -Coordinate inspections and tests to align with project schedules and production goals -Work during normal operating hours to organize and complete work within given deadlines. Work overtime and weekends as required. -Collaborate with operations to develop work packs, identifying required inspections, tests, and documentation -Monitor and forecast costs for third-party inspection and testing services; report trends to management -Address client concerns and maintain transparent communication regarding quality

What You Bring

-Communicate and interact effectively and professionally with supervisors, employees, and others individually or in a team environment -Certifications such as ASQ, CQM, CQA, or CWI are a plus -Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Welding Technology, or a related field (0–2 years of experience) -Demonstrated integrity and ethical standards -Ability to work independently and collaboratively to meet deadlines and goals -Willingness to travel and relocate as needed -Work productively and meet deadlines timely -Working knowledge of trades, disciplines, and associated inspection/testing techniques preferred -Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and time management -Strong work ethic and dedication to doing the job right the first time -Regular, reliable attendance -Familiarity with construction-related quality control procedures preferred -Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills -Understand project scope, quality requirements, and applicable quality plans
