Overview

Finishes and textures concrete surfaces on heavy civil construction projects.

Tasks

-Performs all functions as directed by foreman in conjunction with preparation, layout, cleaning, compaction, and finishing operations. -Cuts and removes all surface imperfections before the concrete has fully hardened. -Understand and comply with all Company Safety policies and procedures as well as OSHA Regulations. -Maintain consistent quality and workmanship texture in paving and handwork. -Ensure construction per plan requirements. -Assist in handwork, prep work and cleanup as directed by the foreman. -Assists with loading and unloading trucks & deliveries. -Takes full ownership of assigned projects and can work independently -Watching gauges, dials, or other indicators to make sure a machine is working properly. -Checks the concrete forms for appropriate depths and angles before the concrete is poured. -Assure all joints are properly matched.

What You Bring

-Must adhere to OSHA safety protocol and work in a drug-free environment -Must possess or be able to obtain a valid and appropriate state driver’s license before employment. -3-5 years of concrete finisher experience. -Must be reliable/have reliable transportation -Able to work with slip form paver at single and dual lane widths. -Detail oriented -Construction industry experience preferred -Has worked around a slip form paver. -Teamwork orientation
