Welder Senior - Night Shift

Overview

Perform MIG/TIG/flux core welding, pipe fitting and quality inspections on fabrication projects.

Tasks

-Promotes and supports safety, production and positive attitude -Requires employee to occasionally inspect equipment, climb stairs or ladders and must be able to maintain balance on stairs or ladders without assistance. -Requires operation of heavy such as welding tools on a constant frequency and forklift on an occasional frequency -May weld brackets and braces and use grinders. May position pieces to be welded into jigs, holding fixtures, guides and steps using measuring instruments and hand tools. May perform position welds on code materials

What You Bring

-Requires work in outdoor conditions, including all weather conditions & unairconditioned facility -Proficient in flame and plasma cutting torches and automated equipment -Uses metal core mig, tig, fluxcore sub-arc or stick welding process (must pass three or more) -Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds -Requires moving and maintaining self in different positions, stoop, kneel, crouch to accomplish tasks in various environments including tight and confined spaces -Ability to pass applicable test(s) and applicable Non-Destructive Exam -Must be able to operates basic cutting equipment -Requires employee to sit for at least 10% of the time -Minimum of 3 years of related experience -Requires work on loud environment -Must wear all required PPE, including fire-retardant clothing, helmets, face shields, hearing protection, safety goggles, steel-toed boots, as applicable. -Requires employee to stand for at least 90% of the time -Must be able to read and understand blueprints and fit up pipe, flanges, etc. with minimal supervision -Certification to weld on pipe or plate -Quality x-ray and ultrasound test welds with minimum rework -High School Diploma -Must be able to communicate and respond to coworkers and emergency cues/alarms, in person and on the telephone, including use of mobile devices -Must pass a 3G test for vessel/tower or 6G test pipe -Requires employee to rarely type and use a computer and other office equipment, such as copier, printer, calendar, telephones, etc. -Knowledge of different types and sizes of pipe, structural and vessel materials -Must be able to work with the team in developing improved work processes for the department
