Tasks

-Lead design teams and mentor junior staff to develop construction-ready design packages of drawings and specifications with inter-disciplinary coordination. -Develop budgets, proposals, schedules, project and staffing plans, as well as identify, qualify, and pursue potential clients and project opportunities -Travel to project sites for fire protection site surveys, data collection for fire protection studies, and collaboration with client team members

What You Bring

-Skilled in designing fire protection systems in heavy industrial, commercial, manufacturing, and processing facilities, e.g. water and wastewater treatment sites, EV assembly plants, lithium-ion battery plants, and data centres -Fire Protection Professional Engineering Licensure in the United States is essential -Deep knowledge of life safety codes -An advanced technical understanding of fire alarm and suppression systems, smoke control, and other related equipment and technologies -Fluency in design and modeling software that includes Revit, BIM, Autodesk Construction Cloud, AutoCAD, HydraCAD, Navisworks, etc. -Knowledge of industry standards, building codes, and safety standards such as NFPA, NEC, NESC, UL, etc. -Bachelor of Science (BS) in mechanical or fire protection engineering with proven experience in a similar role -Extensive experience producing IFC design packages for federal agency facilities -Strong communication skills related to presentations, project communications, and written documents
