Tasks

-With the oversight of experienced Buyers, process requisitions, validate quotes, and place orders for both major apparatus and miscellaneous items -Bring potential problems and possible solutions to the at the attention of the responsible party -Learn about the major apparatus needs for substation and transmission line construction -Learn who key vendors are for major apparatus and miscellaneous items -Take personal responsibility for the quality and accuracy of his/her work

What You Bring

-Good organizational skills which include development of work plans and ability to multitask -Basic knowledge of procurement processes -Good communication skills, both oral, and written -Learn to apply cooperate standard procurement processes and procedures -Bachelor's degree in business, finance, supply chain management or related field is required. Relevant work experience may be substituted in lieu of degree requirement -Ability to read and interpret technical information, specifically for high voltage projects -Must be able and willing to travel overnight for training and/or meetings as required (10%) -Experience using MS Office programs including Outlook, Word, and Excel -May occasionally lift up to 25 pounds at a time. -Experience: Prior internship and/or related work experience in a Buyer role is preferred.
