Validate raw powders, compacts, sintered components, ensuring performance, quality, safety.
-Perform material property testing (mechanical, thermal, chemical, and metallurgical analysis) to verify conformance to specifications and industry standards. -Troubleshoot material-related issues in production and field applications, providing root cause analysis and corrective actions. -Ensure adherence to relevant industry and regulatory standards. -Partner with R&D, Manufacturing, and Quality teams to evaluate new materials and support product development. -Develop and execute material validation plans, protocols, and reports for raw materials, components, and finished goods. -Maintain accurate documentation of testing, results, and validation activities in compliance with company standards. -Support supplier qualification through review of material certifications, test reports, and incoming inspection results.
-Powder metallurgy experience preferred, including powder production, mixing, compaction, sintering, and finishing. -Demonstrated experience in creative problem-solving and implementing corrective actions. -3–5 years of experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. -Experience with metals or other industrial materials. -Ability to read, analyze, and interpret engineering documentation. -Ability to work under minimal supervision and cross-functionally. -Minimum of a bachelor’s degree in material science or engineering (metallurgical, chemical, or mechanical). -Excellent interpersonal and time management skills.
