Maintain awareness of and coordinate PTO and leaves of absence schedules.
Verifying all packages are checked prior to issuance. The DM is accountable for the technical quality of work in the department. The DL is responsible for the technical quality of work for the project.
Continually monitor progress of team members with corrective action plan and provide feedback to identified team members. Seek guidance from Human Resources if necessary.

If necessary, begin team member termination discussions in conjunction with the DOE and Human Resources.
Review and approve all team member general administration time. Work with Best Practices to have the best practice initiatives available to be executed in case of unplanned project work stoppage or delays.
Collaborate weekly with all DL’s on budgets and schedules for all the projects in the department.
Work with discipline specific Best Practices to assist with on-the-job training and communicating discipline specific standards.
Identify team members with poor performance and inform / seek guidance from Human Resources if necessary.
Utilizing department specific onboarding processes, informing new team members of our policies, procedures and expectations as a company.
Assist in keeping on-site/embedded team member current of company activities and news.
Collaborate with Best Practices to make sure the team member has a good path forward with his/her career development goals.
Know and understand the team member’s goals, objectives and career interests.
Assign a Discipline Lead (DL) to begin the SDA document and project fee estimate process.
Encourage good team member relations and assist in resolving team member conflicts.
Provide input to the DOE for annual compensation planning.
Evaluate resumes as they are received for potential department fit.
Define role descriptions specific to the discipline.
Working with your Best Practices to determine tools and equipment necessary for team members to perform assignments.
DM works closely with the BPL to develop Discipline Specific Project Checklists.
Recognize and reward team member accomplishments.
Evaluate the need for a direct hire vs contracted resource
Submit team member training requests complete with costs and hours to the DOE for approval.
Evaluate Department forecast and make recommendations to the DOE when additional resources are needed.
