Tasks

-Partner with project managers and preconstruction teams to develop cost strategies and value-engineering solutions. -Prepare detailed and accurate estimates for HVAC, plumbing, and process piping scopes on design-build and plan-spec projects. -Perform material takeoffs and solicit, level, and evaluate vendor/subcontractor quotes. -Maintain current knowledge of market pricing, labor productivity, and construction methods. -Attend pre-bid meetings, client presentations, and turnover meetings as needed. -Contribute to estimating process improvement and support junior estimators when needed. -Analyze drawings, specifications, and bid documents to identify scope, materials, and labor requirements.

What You Bring

They’re seeking a skilled Estimator to join their Phoenix team — someone who thrives in a collaborative environment and can deliver accurate, competitive, and strategic estimates that drive successful projects from day one. -Team-oriented mindset with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced preconstruction environment. -Proficient with estimating software (e.g., Trimble, QuoteSoft, FastPIPE, or similar). -5+ years of mechanical estimating experience within a subcontractor or mechanical GC. -Strong communication and negotiation skills; comfortable interfacing with clients, engineers, and GC partners. -Strong technical background in HVAC, plumbing, and/or piping systems for commercial or industrial projects. -Ability to read and interpret MEP drawings and specifications with precision.

Benefits

Compensation: Up to $140,000 base + bonus + comprehensive benefits package -Performance Bonus: Annual incentive structure -Benefits: Full medical, dental, vision, 401(k) with company match, PTO, and other perks -Base Salary: Up to $140,000, commensurate with experience -Career Path: Clear opportunities for advancement into Senior Estimator or Preconstruction Manager roles
