Tasks

-Assists production in the preparation and service of various foods in assigned work situations including pantry items, soups, sauces, poultry and fish items. -Assists production staff with preparation of ingredients for entrees. -Performs daily cleaning and sanitation tasks -Assists cooks in the preparation of basic dessert items as well as breakfast items for residents and patients.

What You Bring

-Certification in food handling (or within six months of hire) -High school diploma -Work Experience: A minimum of six months experience as a prep cook in a hotel, restaurant, club, or similar institution. -Skills/Certification: Knowledge of kitchen equipment operations and maintenance. Some knowledge of nutrition and diet. Ability to plan and organize work, to interpret instructions, recipes, specifications and standards. -Ability to understand and follow instructions in English, communicates effectively, and performs simple arithmetic. Ability to understand measurements and conversions.
